Diffuse Hair Loss
Diffuse or generalized hair thinning is the most common hair problem faced by men and women of all ages.
Chronic hair loss may start after a stressful episode such as illness, sudden weight loss, change of environment, post pregnancy or may be related to a poor lifestyle. This condition is commonly diagnosed as Telogen Effluvium. Another common cause of hair loss is Pattern Baldness. Androgenetic Alopecia is also known as Male Pattern Hair Loss and its female counter part is known as Female Pattern Hair Loss. Pattern baldness is genetically predefined or hereditary. |
Treatment at The Skin Clinic
Treating Telogen Effluvium is easier than managing Pattern Baldness. But substantial improvement is expected in both conditions. In my practice I like to make the treatment safe and effective with a multi modality approach. Topical medications, oral supplements and scalp treatments work hand in hand to give a quick arrest of hairfall and regrowth of lost hair. Advanced scalp treatments such as Mesotherapy, Stem cells and PRP therapy may be suggested depending on the severity of the condition.
